Cherlyn has been on the faculty of several of the largest music schools in the nation, as well as Kenyon College, and has played with orchestras in symphonies in Chicago, St. Louis and Federal Way. Her training included teachers such as Eric Koker (student of Nathan Abas, same as Isaac Stern), Elaine Skorodin-Fohrman (international soloist), Taras Gabora, and Leslie Parnas. She finds great joy in building life-changing relationships with students, training them to be the best musicians they can be, who can then go out and impact their world. They regularly share their music in places in the community where it is greatly appreciated. Cherlyn is on faculty at Kaleidoscope School of Music in Issaquah, WA, and maintains a private studio in her home in Maple Valley. Cherlyn teaches 45 minute and 60 minute lessons to all students, except a handful of younger students not yet ready for 45 minutes. Tuition is $60/hr, and $33 per half hour.
